Timothée Oudinot began music at the age of 7 at the Conservatory of Reims, as well as in a boys’ choir where he performed throughout Europe and the Americas. Two years later, he started playing the oboe with Jacques Tys and obtained his gold medals in oboe and chamber music in 1996, along with the advanced prizes in the same disciplines in 1998.
He then joined the Regional Conservatory of Paris in Jean-Claude Jaboulay’s class in 1996, where he earned his diploma in 1999. During his years at the CRR of Paris, he developed a particular interest in the baroque oboe, first with Michel Henry and then with Marcel Ponseele at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris, where he received his diploma in 2004 with honors, “very good unanimously.” Since then, he has played in major concert halls around the world under the direction of conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe, Marc Minkowski, Emmanuelle Haïm, Christophe Rousset, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Hugo Reyne, Trevor Pinnock, Paul McCreesh, Rinaldo Alessandrini, and Pierre Boulez.
He performs with ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Gent, Le Concert d’Astrée, Les Talens Lyriques, and L’Orchestre des Champs-Élysées, with which he has made numerous recordings for CD, DVD, radio, and television. At the same time, he also performs with symphonic groups such as the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris, the Ensemble Intercontemporain, and the Orchestre National de Cannes.
In 2017, he was invited by the Alliance Française to give master classes and perform several concerts as a soloist with the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra in Brazil.
