Pedro Cusac

Born in Alicante in 1973.  At the age of 9, he began his musical studies in the band of the town of San Vicente, with Francisco Amat. Later, he enrolled at the Oscar Esplá Conservatory of Music in Alicante with Professor Jesús Meliá, with whom he completed his higher education in 1991, obtaining extraordinary awards for intermediate and advanced degrees in the oboe specialty. He was a member of the Murcia Region Youth Orchestra. He furthered his studies in oboe and English horn in Valencia with Francisco Salanova. He was unanimously proclaimed the winner of the 10th Edition of the Alicante Concert Society Performance Award. He took advanced courses with professors Juan Carlos Báguena and Jesús Fuster. In 1995, he joined the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to being an orchestra musician, he is a member of several chamber groups and founder of the Harmoniemusik Malaga group. He recorded several premieres of Spanish music and performed concerts with renowned conductors and soloists.

He is currently solo English horn with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra.

He plays a Lorée English horn and a Lorée Etoile oboe.
