Born in Zurich, she studied oboe at the conservatory there with Marcel Saillet and André Raoult.
She then studied with Heinz Holliger at the University of Music in Freiburg im Breisgau.
Since 1979, she has been principal English horn and oboist in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
