María Fernández Bueno is an oboe teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Lucena (Córdoba), a position she has held since 2003.
She began her musical studies at the C.A.M. in Bétera, Valencia. She studied music at the conservatories of Valencia and Zaragoza, as a student of Professor Vicente Llimerá and Professor Francisco José Gil.
In 2000, she obtained an Honorable Mention in the Award for Excellence in Academic Performance. That same year, she was also runner-up in the ‘Ciudad de Valencia’ Musical Performance Competition for young artists.
She has taken advanced courses with oboists of the stature of Eduardo Martínez, Salvador Mir, Robert Botti, Thomas Indermühle, Stefan Schilli, Jesús Fuster, José Antonio Masmano, René Rodríguez, Salvador Barberá, David Walter, Han de Vries and José Luís García Vegara, among others. She has taken chamber music courses with soloists from the City of Granada Orchestra and with Professor Imre Rohmann.
Since 2008, she has been teaching oboe and chamber music advanced courses at the ‘Música y Naturaleza’ summer camp, of which she has been the director since 2016.
Her pedagogical concern has led her to develop, with Editorial Piles, a collection of books for woodwind instruments named ‘Escalando’, intended for the first four years of Elementary education, together with Professor Antonio Mata.
